Our aim is to provide a genuine alternative to high street fashion by stocking clothing for men, women and children that is ethically produced (made in factories with high standards of worker welfare without the use of child labour), more eco-friendly (our suppliers aim to minimise their impact on the environment), manufactured without toxic dyes or finishes, without PVC or nickel plated fittings, and is made from organically grown fibre (certified organic cotton and hemp) wherever possible.

Our children's clothes are manufactured almost entirely from organic cotton. A few seasonal items may not be made from organic fibres due to the difficulty in sourcing organic wool, however as with all our other clothes they do not contain harmful chemical dyes and finishes so are safe for delicate skin.

We also aim to stock an increasing number of organic cotton toys and children's accessories such as hats, scarves and bags.

In our Derbyshire shop we stock a collection of exciting jewellery. Our fair trade silver jewellery comes from a community of silversmiths in Mexico which receives 95% of profits in order to provide a good living and freedom from the local shop owner 'mafia'. Here in the UK recycled plastic and silver are transformed into stunning jewellery by Anna Roebuck - twice winner of Gift of the Year. Her designs use the vibrant colours of recycled plastic carrier bags to create a unique range of contemporary jewellery. We also have a collection of tactile jewellery made from 'vegetable ivory' or tagua nut in vivid colours.

Our Derbyshire shop stocks a range of ethical gifts including body care products made for us by Mother Earth, based in the Lake District. Their skin care is free from artificial chemicals, mineral oils, synthetic fragrances or animal products. Using the finest essential oils, herbs (organic where possible) and flower essences their natural formulations are carefully created to heal the skin and the mind. The products are hand made in small batches to ensure high quality. Their range includes rich moisturising balms, body scrubs and luxurious body soaks made from flower petals. Not tested on animals.
