One of the earliest manufacturers of organic cotton clothing, parent company Novotex was established in 1983 and was presented with a European Business Award for the Environment in 1988.
Later the company received another prize for taking part in the growing of the first independently certified organic cotton and was the first manufacturer to produce a t-shirt from the certified cotton. A few years later, Katharine Hamnett collaborated with Novotex to produce the 'Green Cotton Now' t-shirt.
Today, the company is certified to ISO9001 (quality management) and ISO 14001 (environmental management). They also hold GOTS, Oeko-Tex and EU flower environmental awards and certifications.
