Quality & standards

Quality is sometimes defined by leaving something out. We therefore dispense with unnecessary fabric softeners, harmful dyes, heavy metals, chlorine and forbidden amines for the sake of the environment and natural wearing comfort. We much prefer to use high-quality natural materials for as many of our products as possible. A favourite is 100% organic hemp. This rare, linen-like fabric has a balancing effect in summer temperatures; it is also crease-resistant and very comfortable to wear thanks to its soft, flowing drape. With our 2008 summer collection, we are one of the first companies to use organic hemp certified by the Institute for Market Ecology. Organic jersey also features in our nature-based, captivating collection. Fashionable cuts and outstanding quality give our collections their typically unique character.

Socially aware & fair

The topic of socially aware, fair and responsible working methods has been near and dear to our hearts right from the beginning. We design and develop our collections in our atelier in Germany; these are then produced in Europe and China where we will be investing in the small factory we use to further improve working conditions. We assume social responsibility by awarding production contracts only to firms with fair working conditions and good social standards for their employees. We verify these criteria in person and on site. The Control Union World Group (formerly Skal) certifies the contract farmers whose harvests we purchase and process. This certainly isn’t always the least expensive way to go about things, but it’s a way that everyone can feel good about. Fashion, comfort, nature-oriented production processes and fair trade: we strive to harmonise these four standards day after day, collection after collection.
